Tournament Hosting Terms

Last updated: July 9, 2026 Developed by Somnia Interactive Governed by the laws of India
§ 01

Scope of These Terms

These Tournament Hosting Terms apply to anyone who creates, owns, or moderates a tournament on Krew ("the App"), and to anyone who registers a team for a tournament on Krew. They sit alongside, and do not replace, the general Terms & Conditions. By creating a tournament or registering a team, you agree to both.

§ 02

Eligibility

  • You must be signed in with a verified Krew account to host or register a team (guest accounts cannot host tournaments).
  • You must meet the minimum age requirement set out in the general Terms & Conditions to host a tournament or register a team, and to pay or receive any money in connection with one.
  • Tournaments can currently only be created from a PC or the web app, not from a mobile device.
  • You confirm that all information you submit — organizer name, rules, dates, owner/moderator handles, and team registration details — is accurate and not misleading.
§ 03

Hosting Limits

You may only have one active tournament at a time under your account. An active tournament is one that is pending approval, open, locked, or ongoing. You must complete, cancel, or wait for approval on your current tournament before creating another.

§ 04

Tournaments on Krew

All tournaments hosted on Krew are submitted for review and require Krew's approval before they go live and become visible to other users. You will be notified in-app once your tournament is approved or rejected. We may reject a tournament at our sole discretion, including without providing a specific reason.

Approval is not a guarantee of tournament quality or fairness. Krew reviews for policy compliance only — see § 13.
§ 05

Hosting Fee & No Player Charges

  • Hosting a tournament on Krew is not free for organizers. Krew charges a fixed platform/hosting fee for use of its tournament tooling (bracket generation, listing, registration management, and related infrastructure). Pricing is fixed but may be negotiated, and Krew will contact you directly using the contact details you provide to finalize it as part of the approval process.
  • This hosting fee is a flat charge for the service Krew provides to you as the organizer. It does not scale with, depend on, or relate in any way to any entry fee, stake, or prize amount you may or may not arrange with players.
  • Unless Krew agrees otherwise in writing, the hosting fee is non-refundable once your tournament has been approved and goes live, regardless of whether the tournament is later cancelled by you, completes as planned, or is removed by Krew for a Terms violation.
  • Krew does not charge players anything. Krew does not collect, hold, route, or take any cut, commission, or percentage of any entry fee, stake, wager, or prize money — from any organizer or any player.
  • Any arrangement involving money between an organizer and a player happens entirely outside Krew, is not authorized, endorsed, sanctioned, or facilitated by Krew, and is solely the responsibility of the individuals involved.
§ 06

Compliance with Law

  • You are solely responsible for ensuring that any tournament you host, and any entry fee, stake, or prize arrangement you make with players, complies with all applicable Indian laws, including laws governing online gaming, wagering, and money games.
  • Krew does not review, license, or vouch for the legality of any money arrangement made between an organizer and a player, since Krew has no role in and no visibility into such arrangements.
  • Krew reserves the right to remove any tournament, and to suspend or ban the associated account, if it reasonably believes the tournament facilitates or promotes activity that may violate applicable law — regardless of whether Krew itself is a party to that activity.
§ 07

Wagering, Tampering & Fraud

The following conduct is strictly prohibited in connection with any tournament hosted on Krew:

  • Wagering, side-betting, staking, or any form of gambling tied to match outcomes
  • Collecting or soliciting any entry fee, stake, or payment from players in connection with a Krew tournament
  • Match-fixing, score manipulation, or result tampering of any kind
  • Collusion between teams, players, organizers, or moderators to influence an outcome

Krew does not verify, monitor, or take responsibility for any payment made between an organizer and a player. This includes, without limitation, fake or doctored payment screenshots, falsified payment details, an organizer who collects an entry fee and does not deliver the promised prize or does not run the tournament as described, or any other form of payment or prize fraud arising from a private arrangement between an organizer and a player. Krew has no visibility into these payments, is not a party to them, and bears no responsibility for verifying, recovering, or compensating any loss arising from them. Any dispute over money paid or promised between an organizer and a player is solely between those individuals.

That said, if an organizer or player is found to have engaged in the conduct listed above, or in fraud connected to a tournament on Krew, they will face strict action, at Krew's sole discretion and without prior notice, including any or all of the following:

  • Immediate removal of the tournament and forfeiture of any hosting privileges tied to it
  • Permanent suspension of hosting or participation privileges on Krew
  • Permanent ban of the associated Krew account
  • Reporting to law enforcement and relevant regulatory authorities
  • Legal action under applicable Indian law, including but not limited to provisions relating to cheating, fraud, criminal breach of trust, and any law governing online gaming or wagering

Krew reserves the right to cooperate fully with law enforcement and regulatory investigations, including sharing relevant account information where legally required. Reporting suspected fraud through the in-app system or by emailing krew.somnia@gmail.com may result in Krew taking action against an account, but does not obligate Krew to investigate, mediate, or resolve the underlying financial dispute.

§ 08

Player Acknowledgment & Responsibility

  • When registering a team for a tournament, you will be asked to confirm, via a checkbox, that you understand and accept the following before proceeding.
  • Any entry fee, stake, or payment you make to an organizer is made entirely at your own risk and discretion. Krew plays no role in that payment, does not verify the organizer's identity, intent, or ability to pay out a prize, and cannot guarantee you will be paid what was promised.
  • It is your responsibility to satisfy yourself about an organizer's legitimacy — for example, by checking their track record, contact details, and community reputation — before paying any entry fee or stake.
  • If an organizer fails to deliver a promised prize, misuses your payment, or otherwise defrauds you, that is a dispute between you and the organizer. Krew is not responsible for recovering your money and does not guarantee any refund or compensation, though you may still report the organizer so Krew can take action against their account under § 07.
§ 09

Owners & Moderators

  • You may assign up to 2 owners and any number of moderators by their Krew handle. These users share responsibility for running the tournament, including reviewing team registrations.
  • You are responsible for the actions of everyone you assign as an owner or moderator on your tournament.
  • Removing yourself as the sole organizer does not transfer accountability for any conduct described in § 07.
§ 10

Team Registration & Review

  • Registered teams remain pending until an owner or moderator approves them; they do not occupy a slot until approved.
  • You may reject any team registration at your discretion, but repeated unfair or discriminatory rejections may be treated as a Conduct violation under the general Terms & Conditions.
§ 11

Cancellations

  • You may cancel your tournament at any time before it concludes. All registered teams will be notified automatically.
  • Krew reserves the right to cancel or remove any tournament that violates these Terms, the general Terms & Conditions, or applicable law, at any stage — including after approval.
§ 12

Disputes & Reports

Players may report a tournament or organizer through the in-app reporting system. We review reports and may take action including warnings, tournament removal, or a permanent ban, at our sole discretion. Krew does not arbitrate or mediate financial disputes between organizers and players — see § 07, § 08, and § 13.

§ 13

Krew's Role

Krew is a discovery and coordination platform for tournaments — it is not a payment processor, escrow service, gaming operator, or guarantor of any kind. Krew charges organizers a flat hosting fee for its tournament tooling, described in § 05, but does not charge players, and has no role in, visibility into, or responsibility for any entry fee, stake, wager, or prize arrangement organizers and players may make between themselves. Any such arrangement, and any fraud or dispute arising from it, is governed solely by the agreement between the individuals involved.

§ 14

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Somnia Interactive, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of: (a) any tournament you host, including any entry fee, stake, wager, or prize arrangement connected to it; (b) any team registration you submit; (c) your violation of these Terms, the general Terms & Conditions, or applicable law; or (d) any dispute between you and another user in connection with a Krew tournament.

§ 15

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Somnia Interactive is not liable for any financial loss, unpaid prize, fraud, wager, stake, or dispute arising from any tournament hosted through Krew, or from any arrangement between an organizer and a player. This is in addition to, and does not limit, the Limitation of Liability in the general Terms & Conditions.

§ 16

Changes to These Terms

Krew may update these Tournament Hosting Terms from time to time, including to reflect changes in applicable law. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change accordingly. Continuing to host tournaments or register teams on Krew after an update means you accept the revised Terms. If a change materially affects active tournaments, we will make reasonable efforts to notify affected organizers in-app.

§ 17

Governing Law & Severability

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute arising from them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts as set out in the general Terms & Conditions. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
